Soul Growth Radio is a place to read, hear and tell stories of finding your feet in the material and immaterial worlds. For readers and listeners to find, express, feel, and use their voices in this exploration. We are a love story, a spirit quest, a communion, a community ledger, a soul’s awakening.
Soul Growth Radio is delivered online quarterly, made up of community contributors, and curated by Pema Rocker. A single issue delivers fresh stories each week for four weeks.
Emerging from the spiritual closet
Religions provide houses of God for the faithful. Scriptures are sanctioned conversation topics and emotional hearths for devotees. For those off-roading or transcending the bounds of prescribed faith, there is Soul Growth Radio. You know that feeling of keeping your mouth shut at work about the angel card you pulled that day, or the universe’s joke it played on you, or the dream that spelled it all out, or the voice of your deceased relative that came through loud and clear? That’s the feeling we want to serve up to the divine fires. This is the place for those conversations to be normal. To flourish. To help us see, be seen, and to grow through the challenges and opportunities of our lives in that togetherness.
In keeping with our name, we are a growth endeavor. We are stepping out young, before that self conscious stage of is my hair right, will I say the right thing? (Are the columns correct, is the content sophisticated?) We’ll grow together and keep shaping ourselves more fully into the vision we see for ourselves and our community.
Soul Growth Radio lives into a vision…
…of folks getting to know one another as participants in this spiritual neighborhood we all live in, like people who get to know the shop owner on their street, and neighbors who stand for each other and witness each other in the passing of days.
No matter the size of Soul Growth Radio as it grows, mature and polished or grass roots and groovy, our community is the beating heart. It’s the fire around which we warm our hands, and the voices in which we recognize our own.
